NOTICE OF REGISTERED BUILDING INSPECTORS (RBI) ALL CLASSES - TERMINATION BY BCP AS THE BUILDING CONTROL APPROVER (BCA) EFFECTIVE FROM JUNE 2025
BCP, to comply with the Building Safety Act have had to implement the following:
Terry Griffin, Thomas Griffin, Terrance Griffin and Robert Griffin unfortunately have had their association as Registered Building Inspectors (RBI), Class 1 terminated with BCP as their Building Control Approver (BCA) from June 2025. This means they must remove themselves, immediately from the Building Safety Regulators listing for RBI’s as they relate to or are associated with BCP.
The termination has been reported to the BSR who has stated it is these RBI’s who are now responsible, in their own right, for revising their status on the register so as not to provide misleading information to the public. BCP as the BCA has no power to effect a registration revision other than to notify the termination through media channels.
NOTICE OF TRANSITIONAL PERIOD
BCP, to comply with the Building Safety Act and the General Data Protection Regulations have had to implement the following:
- Terry Griffin, Thomas Griffin, Terrance Griffin and Robert Griffin unfortunately are not yet registered with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR), at a Class greater than Class 1. This means until they are reclassified to a higher class by the BSR, they cannot carry out regulated Building Control activities, this generally is anything technical and includes site inspections, plan assessments, issuing Final Certificates and advice. This is implemented with immediate effect, staff are aware of the instruction. For ongoing general communication you must not use any email other than info@building-control.com starting your subject line with SW01 and our central administration will deal with your request. For fiscal matters use finance@building-control.com starting your subject line with SW01.
- We hope this is a transitional matter, however, going forwards for all staff, only email addresses with the domain building-control.com will be accepted, you should use no other created emails by our staff, your email will be deleted.
- Duncan Griffin will shortly leave BCP, we wish him well in his new endeavours. - This notice does not effect David Griffin and his team in any way.
